When something is cool you just know it. We may not all share the same exact definition of what is or is not cool but there is one criteria that most can agree on when deciding what is cool. If a person, or the people behind a place or thing, in this case the movie “Sucker Punch,” are trying to be cool, making an effort to be considered cool, it simply can not be cool.

The Figge Art Museum celebrates movies and trains

The Figge Art Museum will present the 1969 western classic “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” Saturday, March 12that 1:30 Pm in their John Deere screening room. Admission is free with museum admission. The film is part of a series of classic films the Figge is presenting in March and April.

Friday night March 11th offers a treat for the whole family as the Mary Fluhrer Nighswander Theatre at the Annie Wittenmeyer Complex. 2822 Easter Ave. in Davenport presents Jim Henson’s family classic “The Muppet Movie.” Tickets are just $3 for adults, kids under 2 get in free. Show time is 7 Pm and popcorn and candy will be on sale.

American Idol honors Motown Legends

American Idol’s Top 11 performed the songs of Motown last night and this show does not get enough credit for keeping these songs relevant and in the ears of young viewers. Yes, some will argue that some performers dishonor these songs by not singing them well but last night would have made that argument very difficult as each performer seemed to bring their A game last night.

Will and Grace star returns in new TNT drama Perception

TNT is going back to the well with former Will & Grace Star Eric McCormack. The cable network has given a 10-episode green light to drama Perception, in which McCormack will star as oddball neuroscientist Dr. Geoffrey Pierce, who uses his unique deductive powers and mastery of human nature to solve seemingly unsolvable crimes for the FBI.
